In the last couple of years, I have noticed that many of my Vancouver Cake clients have misconceptions about custom cake design. I'm here to tell you the truth and make you aware of some of the dangers involved with custom cake design.
1.) Many Custom Cake Designers make unhealthy and unnatural cakes.
Have you ever wondered what's in the specialty cake that you are serving to your family, friends and children?

Well, the sad truth is that many Specialty Cake Designers use most, if not all of these unhealthy ingredients in their custom cakes. Not only that, but many will flash freeze your cake for weeks or months before it even hits your mouth.

2.) Many Custom Cake Designers do not follow health codes and don't use clean, sanitized kitchens.
Health risks from not cleaning the kitchen properly can occur, leading to many food borne illnesses like campylobacter, E.Coli, and Salmonella. Each is caused by bacteria and can make people very ill or even cause death. This is something you should take very seriously.

If a Cake Designer is offering an extremely low price, I would be weary. Chances are they are using boxed cakes or unhealthy, cheap ingredients. Remember, this food is entering your body.
